OS: ECS 1.2; almost all stuff works fine, incl. built-in 1024x600 laptop screen using GENGRADD and all USB 2.0 ports. Works like a charm;

But not all of the JVC works OK:

• I downloaded ten or so drivers for the integrated SoundMax audio, none of them will work ("Cannot find SoundMax hardware!" or messages like that)
• Same for the Ricoh 5C475(II)/R5C520 Cardbus/PCMCIA controller (although many socket drivers suggest it works: "1 socket, ...." or so). I tried various Cardbus.exe incarnations I had lying around incl. (& starting w.) the latest from IBM (& eComstation site). I saw Cardware 7.0 on www.tssc.de showing Ricoh hardware supported but there's no guarantee that that driver will work; as I also saw the Ricoh 475 mentioned to be supported by e.g. IBM2SS04.SYS or IBM2ss14.sys.
• no firewire driver

P.R. Nienhuis 2007-01-20 19:28:03	Site w ricoh driver is gone now (I got a backup of the driver, actually a cbenabler). Yet the driver only allowed 16 bit cards, and hen again only a few. Modem (Agere) doesn't work either. Sound: unisnddr.zip from Hobbes (feb. 2006) (& using spciirq: (0,31,5) Int#A to irq 9) is the first sound-drv to load w/o errors, but no sound yet.

P.R. Nienhuis 2007-08-20 23:43:47	Sound works with SoundMAx driver from Hobbes (v3.19); though SSPCIIRQ.SYS (Hobbes) is needed to assign the sound system an IRQ. MIDI doesn't work. So all in all "Mark" can be raised from "Average" to "Good" IMO.
