I managed to get eCS 2.0 RC5 to boot with 2 processors initialized with "/SMP /PIC /CD" switches (I don't know yet what are the differences between PIC and APIC modes, but it surely helps with a SCSI controller on board).

Shutdown, reboot via ACPI do work.

Please note that I don't use eCS 2.0RC5 long enough to tell if it works stable or not. There's no reason why it shouldn't be stable.
