Tyan Tomcat n3400B (S2925G2NR)

Mark: Very good

Excellent socket AM2 board, which is well supported under OS/2.

Tested with eCS 1.2R, AMD Athlon64 X2 5600+, 2 Gb RAM

Working:

  • SATA (2 disks 150 + 500 Gb, DVD-Burner, DVD-ROM): Danis 1.8.2
  • USB 1.1/2.0: Recent drivers
  • LAN: Nickk's NVIDIA MAC Driver 0.0.4
  • Sound: no sound onboard, SB Live with driver 0.81 works
  • Video: Built-in XGI Volari Z7* (XG20) works with SNAP 3.1.8 (VESA 3.0), here used: Sapphire X700 PCIe with SNAP, well supported
  • ACPI/SMP: Works with ACPI 3.07 and SMP-Kernel (/SMP /APIC: No working VDMs, /SMP /PIC: VDMs are working fine)

A quick install of eCS 2.0 rc4 went smooth without any problems or manual changes

Great motherboard, highly configurable BIOS, only one downer: No parallel port.... **********************************************************
