IBM Thinkpad T42p
Mark: Good The problem described below has been resolved. I am posting this in
case it might prove useful to others.
I have run into an interesting situation trying to install 2.0 Beta 4
on my IBM/Lenovo Thinkpad T42p. It is a 2373-Q1U, 2 GHz CPU with an
ATI Mobility Fire GL T2 display adapter.
After booting from the CD, I get the installation configuration
screens, OK there. When I press F10 to contimue the installation, the
screen soon goes black and it's over. I have done this MANY times,
selecting different options including Alt-F2 & Alt-F4 instead of F10.
The furthest I got was a display of IBMATAPI.FLT or DANTATAP.FLT
before the hang.
After much discussion with Steven Levine, I decided to hook up my CRT
as a second display. The install then went to completion. From the
time IBMATAPI.FLT appeared until the SNAP logo came up, only the CRT
was working.
At the end of the installation, the machine re-booted and everything
seems to work, including sound! I have not attempted to test the
wireless adapter yet, however.

How to distribute your program among all users/potential customers? Add the program to eCo Market. 1) Fast distribution, 2) No need to write the announcements every week. 3) All popular applications are presented in the catalogue already.
