Mensys: No people resources
- Mensys should open a site "stack of tasks for developers".
In other words, the queue of utilities, dlls which you need for eCS
and which should be created.
So thirdparty developers can see what do you need and help
if no free developers inside the team.

Windows is strong because there are many powerful/cool applications.

Как строятся ОСы?
Обычно есть большая корпорация, которая всем управляет.
В случае eComStation такой корпорации нет. Единственный путь развития -
N компаний строят одну ОС.
На рынке должны работать по крайней мере 30 компаний-производителей.
- Речь идет о компаниях, каждая из которых производит
один большой продукт. 30 компаний - тогда анонсы каждый день,
тогда позитивное настроение на рынке. Если меньше, то не удается
держать пользователей в тонусе.
- Компании должны продавать много всякого по правильным (высоким) ценам.
не по 20$, а по 100, 400, 800$
НО как?
- как они появятся?
- как они проживут более 1 дня?
Польза от компаний, от коммерческого подхода?
Компания может заказывать модули за деньги у другой компании/разработчика.
Таким образом расширять свои возможности. Не зажата в узких рамках.
Может делать скачки большие.
12.8 -- Roles: OS developers
eCS REFORM,
Professional developers, fulltime.
Разработка eCS: должна проходить в лаборатории.. чтобы не отвлекали

Сколько разработчиков надо?
- Windows 95 = 2000 + 2000 testers + 400 managers + 2500 customer-support ?
- Windows v.next = 2500
Как ДОЛЖНА разрабатываться ОС?

Поэтому кто-то должен собрать деньги + специалистов.
И реализовать драйвер/программу.

Вообще, eCS developers are creating 1/2 of program, standalone developer
create own 1/2.
It's very difficult to participate in eCS development.
Main rule: don't expect that somebody will tell you what to do,
will reward you.
Help to eCS DevGroup, implement basic task,
then start your own extensions, analyze your ideas together with other eCS
team members. Don't wait that somebody will tell you what to do.
12.9 -- Roles: Foreign developers/companies
Foreign = working on other market today.
They will start the development if we have > 1 million users.
The community 1 million if many companies develop software.

I still use 1.2 on one system.
I would like to pass a bit of feedback.

I have been using Seamonkey on a Windy box for e-mail at the moment.
Was I supose to put the 'CODE:' in the blank field under it? No info shown.
A lot of the message displayed unknown charecters in it.
I changed the encoding to other choices such as Unicode (UTF-8 and Western European (Windows) and did see some of the graphics, but a lot of text may be un-viewable.
I see others have posted similar.
I would be interested in eCS 2.0 when its released with everything working.
Please keep up the good work.

Try to multinational sites wrote on universal language (in this case english.)
