LanScan

Overview
Program LanScan is a tool for the network administrator. It allows to scan any addresses range for any class TCP/IP networks. As the result instant list for the all working devices of TCP/IP network which have legitimate IP addresses will be produce.

Scanning could be done with issuing ICMP Echo Request (PING) packets or/and issuing ARP Request packets (this approach can be used for Local Area Networks only, which computer is connected to).

LanScan can run as standalone program or/and as server, which allows to use remote administration or/and remote viewing the scanning results.

Additionally LanScan allows:
    save results of scanning;
    discover TCP/IP and SMB names;
    clreate file RFCNAMES.LST;
    discover network cards manufacturers;
    call user's procedure after scanning;
    call port scanning program PortScan.

The program was written with VisualAge C/C++ 4.0 and OS/2 Developer's Toolkit 4.5.

	You can see the results of scanning as the table. (For better viewing, click on the picture on the left.)
	Package LanList is the example of user's procedure for LanScan. It allows to get information about time intervals when TCP/IP nodes were active as graphic view.
	Program PM-ARP is similar to ARP program for Presentation Manager environment.
	Program PortScan scans TCP and UDP ports of IP node. Program can be used as separate tool and can be called with LanScan.
	Program IPtracer consolidates TRACERTE and WHOIS programs for Presentation Manager environment.
	NetUtils is the suite of small utilities for newbies in TCP/IP and Cisco routers.
	LAN wizard helps to build configuration providing access to Internet for guest OS with SVISTA.

What is new in version 3.0.1:
    It's possible to choose font for container.
    File RFCNAMES.LST is produced.
    Toolbar is added.
    Column "Status" width is more narrow.
    Vertical split bar position remains in INI file.
    Configuration dialogs were changed.
    Updated file oui.lst.

Requirements for LanScan, PM-ARP and IPtracer:
   OS/2 version 4.0 or above
   TCP/IP version 4.1 or above

   OS/2 version 4.0 or above
   TCP/IP version 4.0 or above
