ArcaOS 5.0 Russian version

Good news! Russian version of ArcaOS 5.0 is available. It's free for users which purchased ArcaOS via russian local distributor.

Yuri Larin (LIP package developer) reports that ArcaOS is different from other distributions of OS/2 Warp system.

  • a) Updated drivers and system kernel. On the other side, some sub-systems were changed (Samba instead of IBM Peers).
  • b) Different directory structure, different system utilities
  • c) All eCo Software applications were translated already
  • d) XWPS, Firefox, .. applications are updated

eCo Software recommends to the developers make their applications multi-language in advance. For example, LANGE library exists during 10 years and demonstrated its efficiency.
