DFI-ACP G5M100-N

Mark: Very good

I've got this board working as videorecording device (since Oktober 2004) running other OS + VDR (using a DVB-s - digital satellite card), but it's also running with eComStation v1.2 (except for the DVB-s card) as I've shown on Warpstock Europe 2005.

Using eComStation sound (UniAud), graphic (SciTech SNAP), USB (IBM USB drivers), both LAN ports (Intel drivers) and temperature monitoring (using StHWMon - see pictures at the link below) is working.

I've installed the board into a former Sony CD-Player case because of the defined HIFI width (42cm). My system is equipped with a Pentium M 1.4GHz and 512MB DDR-RAM. I don't get a CPU temperature over 25РC. The case temperature is about 32РC. Air is sucked in at the backside of the case, where it get's through the CPU cooler by my selfmade air-tunnel. Finally the air is leaving at the front bottom using a ultra silent Papst 8412N/2GLE fan.

Pictures from my Videorecording system are available here: http://www.informatik.uni-oldenburg.de/~julbts/videorechner/

If you don't need the full CPU power you can force a lower multiplier in the BIOS.

Ideas for the developers:

DevCon: Update your applications, integrate new File Open Dialog (dialog to select files and directories).
